A local artist, screenprinter, and block print maker from Japan, Rio Kaneki is someone we’ve admired here at Fernwood for a long time. Having previously screenprinted for Hurley in Tokyo and owned his own skate clothing brand, his sense of adventure and love for handcrafted goods flowed with our ethos.
For our collaboration, he started with carving the stencil out of a wooden block and then transferred the print onto a t-shirt.
